Dr. Asaf Formoza is an accomplished mechanical engineer and visionary executive, currently driving the growth and innovation at City Transformer. The company specializes in developing compact, electric vehicles tailored for urban environments, featuring a unique modular design patent that allows the vehicle to transform its width. This adaptability makes it ideal for navigating narrow streets and optimizing parking in congested cityscapes, addressing modern urban mobility challenges
With extensive experience in managing complex technical and business challenges, Dr. Formoza combines cutting-edge technology with creativity, focus, and determination. He has a proven track record of leading multi-million dollar projects from inception to completion, developing winning strategies, and building high-performing teams that propel companies from concept to profitability.
In addition to his industry leadership, Dr. Formoza is committed to education, having lectured in Mechanical Engineering since 2007. He teaches courses in solid mechanics, robotics, and mechatronics at various universities and colleges, fostering the next generation of engineers. Dr. Formoza earned his Ph.D. in 2013, MSc in 2003, and BSc (cum laude) in 2001, all from Ben-Gurion University, Israel. He played a pivotal role in establishing and managing the Mechatronics and Robotics track at two SCE colleges in Beer-Sheva and Ashdod
